About Genetic Wellbeing

Empowering people with the genetic knowledge to take control of their health, longevity, and quality of life.

Our Mission

Making Genetic Science Accessible

Genetic Wellbeing exists to bridge the gap between cutting-edge multi-omics research and the people who need it most. For too long, the science of personalized nutrition and genomics has been locked behind clinical and academic doors — available only to researchers and a handful of specialists.

We believe everyone deserves access to their own genetic information — and the personalized guidance to act on it. Our mission is to make DNA-informed wellness accessible, understandable, and actionable for everyone.

While others treat symptoms, we decode the source code. Blood work tells you what's happening today. Your DNA tells you why it's been happening all along — and what your biology will always need.

Val Prisecaru

MS, CN, LDN — Professor of Nutrigenomics

Val's journey into nutrition, genetics, and wellness began in suburban Los Angeles in the 90s while attending UCLA, where he met Dr. Lloyd Stenbeck and others who introduced him to natural medicine philosophies. He went on to earn his Bachelor's (1999) and Master's Degrees (2002) in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he headed his first human clinical trial exploring how macronutrients influence blood glucose, satiety, and energy levels.

Following his Master's degree, Val continued graduate studies deciphering oncological genetic pathways, assessing the impact of dietary lectins on human health, and imaging food crops through NMR and NIR techniques at the AFC-NMR and NIR Microspectroscopy / Dr. Baianu Laboratory.

Since 2018, Val has invested his energy in Atlas Genetics Inc., consultancy work with Designs for Health, DataPunk, SelfDecode, and others — as well as innovative genetic and microbiome systems development. He was among the first to launch a multi-omics wellness protocol in Illinois in November 2020.

Starting in 2020, Val became Professor and Program Director of Nutrigenomics at John Patrick University of Health and Applied Sciences (jpu.edu). He also serves as the in-house genomic consultant and product development team member at Designs for Health — the #1 most doctor-trusted nutraceutical company in the US. He is currently a doctoral student in the Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) program at the University of Bridgeport.

Val strives to deeply understand the power of foods, supplements, lifestyle choices, light and sound therapies, and mindfulness in promoting and optimizing health. Over the past 30 years, he has pursued this mission — translating complex multi-omics scientific concepts into practical principles that anyone can understand and apply long-term. He currently lives in central Illinois with his wife Renee and their three children.

Our Approach

Whole-Person Science

Every protocol we build incorporates DNA, microbiome, glycomics, personal and family history, and state-of-the-art lab analysis — because your health is not reducible to a single variable.

Val brings both deep genetic expertise and practical clinical nutrition science. Together, these disciplines make it possible to build protocols that are truly personalized — not templated wellness plans, but a blueprint built from your unique biology.

“A significant part of my work involves translating complex multi-omics scientific concepts into practical principles that anyone can understand and apply long-term.”
